I became aware of the internet sometime in 1995-96? back in elementary school then became a part of the internet sometime in... 2001, not long after we had moved into a new apartment, so that time between then and 2010 are my most memoriable since I mainly grew up with Windows XP and the likes.

I have a lot of fond memories using MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and AIM as a teen, using it to talk to my friends and all that jazz. On top of that the old DeviantArt and even SheezyArt before the former became what it is now and the latter shut down (until it was brought back, yay!).

This also extends to Windows Media Player and Winamp too. Winamp especially since I loved to listen to music on it all the time. Windows Media Player I used to watch movies on with the DVD drive. But as tech evolved with the ever-growing internet and things started becoming more centralized, they eventually faded (except Winamp that's still around.

Old tech and programs hold a special place in my heart since then since it was a very pivotal part of my life, and with the advancement of technology and the focus of making everything minimalistic and more... corporate, I've come to appreciate the things that shaped my childhood.

Fun fact:
I plan to eventually buy a Windows XP machine, either with the OS pre-installed or a brand-new build with the installation disk. More than likely the former.
